God Speaks

God speaks to every one of us; we just have to learn how to listen. I am still learning because I have realized that He speaks to us in various ways. Every individual just has to Identify the one way in which God communicates with him that he understands the most, and develop his hearing ability in that direction.

It may not be very easy to do, but I assure you it is not impossible. We need to pray to Him for the ability to hear Him and understand Him better, and also to understand the things He says to us, as they are usually directions on how to live our lives; what directions to take, what to do in every situation that we face. He is a loving father to all of us, and He desires only the best for all of us. It does not matter whether we are the worst sinners or not, for we are all sinners and have fallen short of His Glory. (Romans 3:23)

Just as God speaks to all of us, He also hears us all when we pray to Him – whether He answers our prayers or not is another topic all together. We can however, develop ourselves spiritually so that God will listen and answer us when we come to Him in prayer. Development, as we know, does not happen overnight, it takes time, consistency, devotion, meditation on His word and perseverance. God is ever willing to forgive us all of our sins and welcome us into His fold, into His bosom, but it is left for us to seek Him and desire to be in His presence, for He has given every one free-will to choose our paths – whether we want to walk the broad road that leads to the devil or the narrow path that leads to God and His heavenly kingdom.

[Matthew 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV) 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.]

We will do well to choose wisely; for what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul. (Mark 8:36)
